Client Applications

Patches and Updates

• Nightfire Patch v5.5 - This patch provides numerous fixes and optimizations to the game engine to prevent lag, crashes, overflows, and much more. Highly recommended.

Useful Applications

• Busy Server Redial - May be used to wait for a server to start before connecting in addition to connecting right away once there is room for you to join.

• NFBSP Client - A Server Browser that communicates with DSS2 servers, downloads custom maps from NFBSP.COM and includes GameSpy Chat Room services, mainly a GSA wannabe.

• Server Status - Retrieves public information from a running James Bond 007: Nightfire server.

• StalkAPlayer - See all players currently online and monitor for when your friend joins a server and can directly conenct to the server so you can quickly play with him.

Content Development Applications

• Updated Gearcraft 5.0 - This is a modified version of Gearcraft with many new features and fixes

• Assets - Extracts and archives data in .007 files.

• Cascading Quake C Converter (depreciated: Nightfire Model Compiler) - Converts a QC and all referenced SMD files from v10 to v11 or v11 to v10.

• Nightfire Sprite Studio - Useful for editing and creating Nightfire Sprites.

• Lump Separator - Breaks Binary Space Partition files into multiple files for easy editing. It can then recombine the files back into a single .BSP.

Miscellaneous Applications

• Nightfire Workshop - A gateway application that facilitates the developement and use of various third-party plugins.

  • Nightfire Workshop Plugin SDK - Contains all the files needed to make a plugin for Nightfire Workshop.
• BSP decompiler - Decompiles Nightfire BSP map files into a format compatible with GearCraft.

Experimental Applications

• Lump Analyzer - An application that assists in understanding binary tables produced by Lump Separator.

• Model Analyzer - Loops through all .mdl files in the selected directory and two subdirectories of the selected directory displaying all header information in a grid.
