Major bug fixes include improvements to the netcode to reduce lag, completely removes Outgoing Message Overflow errors, better player hitbox prediction and registration, increase performance and max FPS, reduce crashes, enable console and many many more.

Nightfire Patch 5.5 Client/5.04 Server Changelog

-Added in-game map download support
-Added check for updates when launching the game
-Added the ability to aim down the sight of your weapon in a separate add-on
-Added the ability to run more than one instance of the game at once
-Added r_fieldofview command to enable the ability to change the FOV client-side rather than server-side
-Added sv_explosives command to disable/enable explosive weapons and skull
-Added sv_pjump command to enable/disable the ability to pjump
-Added a limit to how many bondmines can be in the world at one time to prevent crashes
-Greatly improved collision detection and clipping on very shallow water for multiplayer games
-Set the console to be enabled by default
-Removed maximum frame rate limit
-Removed flashbat and train user messages
-Changed many 'fatal' errors to warnings so the game does not close due to them
-Blocked give and goto cheats when sv_cheats is not set to 1
-Unblocked various commands for multiplayer
-Rewrote timer functions and how the game handles time for up to 10x smoother gameplay
-Increased default bandwidth rates for much smoother gameplay
-Increased maximum hunk and heap memory allocation by default
-Increased several various memory limits
-Increased maximum amount of ips allowed in ban list
-Increased maximum entities (edicts) to fix crash on very large maps
-Increased max length for player name and server name on in-game menus

-Auto ban and listip now writes sv_addip instead of addip
-Drop command no longer crashes servers (depending on settings) and instead drops a weaponbag
-Void no longer shows an endless repeat of the same object (Z buffer is cleared each frame)
-Fixed many prediction errors due to bad timing

-Fixed all known server attack crash exploits
-Fixed crash when sending/receiving an invalid or corrupt user message
