The Source Engine is a game engine designed by Valve Software inc. This engine creates the base for several different games including:

  • Half-Life 2
  • Counter-Strike: Source
  • Team Fortress 2
  • Portal
  • Left 4 Dead
  • Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
  • Mabinogi Heroes
  • Postal III

The Source Engine combines many laws of physics to make the realism of games depending on the actual game being played and not the engine.
