Texture Problem

When i add textures for e.g than i only see plain vectors... Does anybody knows how to fix this problem? If yes, could you please inform me and other users by typing the tricks below this line?

The textures that you have on the ADDITIONAL WAD must be extracted with WALLY in png format to the directory EA GAMES\Nightfire\bond\textures\(mapname), for example textures\dm_overwatch\.
If you cant see any texture and you are using the wad that we have here, you dont have the latest version. Download it.

Entity File Error

i have a error in the new entitie file from nfleveleditor. if i compile a map have i a bad mapversion. 220 i need 512. wel i cant change the mapversion with the new entitie file. how can i play the map? how can i fixmy error?

We released a new Level Editor alias GCT on NFSBP, download it, configure and tell if you have problems with it. Valve Hammer for Nightfire 3.5 is no longer supported now.
i dont juse hammer for nightfire. i dont like Nightfire Level Editor 5.0 if the double menu errorLOL. i mapping with the orginal hammer edit 3.4 i have never map with a other program i like hammer 3.4 . i have copy the compiller from nfle(Nightfire Level Editor ) and delete the old compiler in hammer 3.4. now i have this map version error. and cant find the old compiler back. do you have the old compiler. i can work better with the old.

Hammer 3.4 is no longer supported as it causes more bugs than the NFLE, NFLE is more configurable and can have the Hammer 3.4 style if you want, but hammer 3.4 will cause that errors. I think all is clear now :P.
yes its clear! now i map with nfle and its better than hammer! now i have play it^_^:-D. i have a question: how set you textures in nfle. if it is automatic i have only the textures from gestreets en dm_training.
You must get the Alura & Zoe assets.007 file compiler and decompiler. Decompress the assets.007 file then go to Nightfire\bond\ROOT and copy the textures folder and paste them into Nightfire\bond.
Note: If you want to keep a texture mod that you have installed previously then say "No" when prompted to overwrite a file.
The other way is to choose the ROOT\textures folder as the source folder for the image files. Remember that Nightfire Level Editor reads directly from Portable Network Graphic (PNG) format and if you have made a new texture, you must put it in that folder somewhere to be seen by the program **and** you must put it in the Nightfire\bond\textures\<map textures directory> for Nightfire to load it.

.WAD/.PAK File Error

when i try to use the new hammer editor 3.5 beta, it asks me for a .wad/.pak textures file. when i go to use winrar, and use the add to archive command, and add the textures folder of nightfire, it says its not a valid .wad file. it also says its not valid for .pak files i made. how do i make a .pak file or .wad file that it will use. i want to see if the 3.5 version is any easier for me than the nightfire map editor. i have my own creations with the nf level editor, but there are still some things that i dont know how to do. i want to see if Hammer 3.5 Beta is gonna be better. if not, can you guys make a new nightfire level editor based on Hammer 3.5 final (or beta)??!

The new Nightfire Level Editor reads automatically the textures that you have on nightfire\bond\textures, thats why you need to decompress of your assets.007 file the sounds, models and textures folder. After doing this, you start again the NF Level Editor and the textures should appear, also you can put your own textures on the bond\textures in png format, but if you're going to release tyour map, you have to remmeber to save your own textures with the map.


Rotating Door

Well, you can't make it double direction but i know what you mean, I'll explain how to make it and if you don't know how something works, watch the basic tutorial. make the structure that you drew, something like this: Image:Rot door.jpg
Make that structure, then select them all (Use the selection tool), tie them to an entity and choose func_rotating, then select the speed and it's done.
If you want to start and stop it froma button, put a name to it and in a func_button put the name of the door in "Target".

Map decompiler

every time i am trying the decomp a map. and load it up in gearcraft. then i will get like 4000 brush errors. here's a pic. and yep i am using nf map decompiler beta 2 and the problem is that this wont work on the both computer's i have.

That's strange, I saw a bug that in some computers, the dots or periods get converted to commas, which won't be allowed by gearcraft and will cause the map not to load completely, but I don't have a slight idea for the cause of your problem. Have you tried opening the erroneous decompiled map into the other PC?

While editing wiki, those Bold/Italic icons are missing on the top

Happens on Google chrome. Since Google chrome is under beta, some things may or may not work.

I have to assume that is Chrome to blame. Chrome is extremely buggy in that it can't even render Silverlight applets correctly either. --FordGT90Concept 05:04, 10 October 2008 (CEST)

DSS downloads overlay but they arent in the overlay-folder

Hi, title says all. The DSS2 shows that new overlays are available and asks to download them. I click "yes" and i still cant see the map or coordinates of players. i looked into bond/dss/overlays and this folder is emtpy :s

Edit: the map overlays are now downloaded, but i still cant see the map and the players on the map... pls help

Gearcraft 5.0 Path Problems

Hey everyone, I am currently experiencing an error when loading a map that I used paths in. For example tracktrains. So, when I load a map I made with tracktrains or any paths, it crashes Gearcraft and I am unable to load it. Please help. Thanks alot, VikingnVista PS, I have put an Image to show you what happens. I doubt the problem is with paths. Look through the .MAP file for other problems like missing quotes, missing brackets, and make sure it has a valid worldspawn class. FordGT90Concept 14:31, 21 February 2009 (CET)
